Casa Silva's Lago Ranco Pinot Noir represents a daring frontier in Chilean viticulture, hailing from one of the southernmost commercial vineyards in the world. Located in the remote, pristine Austral region of Patagonia, near the shores of Lake Ranco, this vineyard was planted by the Silva family on complex volcanic soils under extreme cool-climate conditions. The region's heavy rainfall, cool lake breezes, and unique latitude challenge the vines, forcing them to struggle and yield grapes with remarkable concentration and bright, natural acidity. The resulting wine captures the wild spirit of Patagonia, offering vibrant red fruit notes, earthy undertones, and a distinct mineral backbone shaped by the volcanic terroir.
