Born from Casa Silva's pioneering micro-terroir studies in the Colchagua Valley, the S7 Carmenere is a single-block selection sourced exclusively from Sector 7 of the Los Lingues vineyard. Nestled at the foot of the Andes Mountains, this specific plot benefits from colluvial, stony soils and cool mountain breezes that temper the warm Chilean sun. The story of Carmenere in Chile is one of resurrection; once thought lost to phylloxera in Bordeaux, it was rediscovered in Chilean vineyards in 1994. Casa Silva has dedicated decades to mastering this grape, and the S7 represents the pinnacle of their research. The wine is typically aged in French oak barrels, resulting in a structured, elegant expression of Carmenere that balances rich dark fruit with characteristic notes of black pepper, sweet spice, and polished tannins.
