The Saint Felicien range holds a historic place in Argentine viticulture, originally launched by Catena Zapata in 1963 as the country's first varietally labeled wine line. Named in honor of Saint Felicien, the patron saint of vineyards, this Sauvignon Blanc is a testament to Catena's pioneering work in high-altitude grape growing. Sourced from cool-climate vineyards in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, the grapes benefit from intense sunlight and cold mountain nights. This thermal amplitude preserves the grape's natural acidity and intensifies its aromatic profile. Vinified entirely in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, the wine avoids oak contact to showcase the pure, vibrant expression of the terroir, marked by citrus, mineral, and herbaceous notes.

Bodega Catena Zapata blev grundlagt i 1902 af den italienske immigrant Nicola Catena og regnes i dag for den ubestridte pioner inden for moderne argentinsk vindyrkning. I 1980'erne og 1990'erne revolutionerede familiens visionære tredjegenerationsfrontfigur, Nicolás Catena Zapata, landets vinindustri ved at søge mod ekstreme højder i Andesbjergene. Det mest markante resultat var etableringen af den berømte Adrianna Vineyard i Gualtallary i næsten 1.500 meters højde. Vingården ledes i dag af dr. Laura Catena sammen med den anerkendte chefvinmager Alejandro Vigil. Sammen kombinerer de dybdegående forskning i mikroklimaer og terroir via Catena Institute of Wine med præcisionsdyrkning i alluviale, kalkholdige grusjorde. Vinifikationen sker ofte med hele drueklaser og vildgær på både betontanke, store egetræsfade (foudres) og franske barriques for at bevare friskheden, de strukturelle nuancer og den stedtypiske nerve.
