The Saint Felicien range holds a historic place in Argentine viticulture, originally launched by Catena Zapata in 1963 as the country's first varietally labeled wine line. Named in honor of Saint Felicien, the patron saint of vineyards, this Sauvignon Blanc is a testament to Catena's pioneering work in high-altitude grape growing. Sourced from cool-climate vineyards in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, the grapes benefit from intense sunlight and cold mountain nights. This thermal amplitude preserves the grape's natural acidity and intensifies its aromatic profile. Vinified entirely in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, the wine avoids oak contact to showcase the pure, vibrant expression of the terroir, marked by citrus, mineral, and herbaceous notes.

Bodega Catena Zapata blev grundlagt i 1902 af den italienske immigrant Nicola Catena og er i dag anerkendt som den helt store pioner, der revolutionerede moderne argentinsk vindyrkning og bragte Malbec-druen frem på den internationale scene. Vingården, der ligger i Mendoza, gennemgik en skelsættende transformation i 1980'erne under ledelse af tredje generation, Nicolás Catena Zapata.
