Lunetta, meaning 'little moon' in Italian, is a celebratory sparkling rosé crafted by Cavit, a pioneering cooperative in northern Italy. Sourced from the scenic, sun-drenched vineyards of the Trentino and Veneto regions near the foothills of the Alps, this cuvée celebrates the region's rich history of sparkling winemaking. It is typically produced using the Charmat (Martinotti) method in state-of-the-art cellars to preserve its fresh, primary fruit character. The blend classically utilizes Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) to impart its delicate pale pink hue and bright red fruit aromas, often complemented by Chardonnay or Glera. The result is a charming, dry sparkling wine that evokes the romance of a moonlit Italian evening, characterized by clean acidity and an elegant, persistent mousse.
