Hailing from the maritime terroir of Long Island's East End, Channing Daughters' Cabernet Franc showcases the grape that many consider the signature red variety of the region. Influenced by the cooling breezes of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Peconic Bay, the grapes benefit from a long, moderate growing season that coaxes out complex aromatic profiles without excessive sugar accumulation. Winemaker Christopher Tracy employs an artisanal, low-intervention approach, often utilizing wild yeast fermentations and aging the wine in older, neutral oak casks. This careful stewardship preserves the grape's natural vibrancy, resulting in a medium-bodied red defined by bright red berry fruit, savory dried herbs, and a distinct mineral thread reflective of the glacial soils of the South and North Forks.

Channing Daughters Winery blev grundlagt af Walter Channing, som plantede de første vinstokke i 1982 i Bridgehampton på Long Islands South Fork.
