Hailing from the unique maritime terroir of Bridgehampton on Long Island's South Fork, the Channing Daughters Cabernet Franc Rosato is a beautiful expression of cool-climate viticulture. Inspired by Italian pink wines, the winery proudly uses the term 'Rosato' to signal its dry, savory, and food-friendly style. The grapes are grown in silt loam soils deposited by glaciers, benefiting from the moderating influences of the Atlantic Ocean and Peconic Bay. Winemaker Christopher Tracy employs gentle pressing and stainless steel fermentation to capture the grape's vibrant red fruit character, signature herbal complexity, and crisp, refreshing acidity, making it a benchmark for East Coast rosé production.
