Channing Daughters' Home Farm Vineyard Refosco is a testament to the winery's pioneering and experimental spirit on the South Fork of Long Island. Nestled in the unique maritime microclimate of Bridgehampton, where cool ocean breezes and moderate temperatures define the growing season, this wine is crafted from the Friulian grape Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso. The estate's exploration of Northern Italian varieties led to the planting of this rare grape in the silty loam soils of the Home Farm Vineyard. Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in seasoned French oak casks, this red wine is crafted to highlight the grape's natural vibrant acidity, deep color, and distinctive spicy, wild berry character, bridging Old World alpine heritage with New World maritime terroir.

Founded by Walter Channing with initial vineyard plantings dating back to 1982 in Bridgehampton on Long Island's South Fork, Channing Daughters Winery stands as one of New York's most inventive and boundary-pushing artisanal producers. Guided by partner and winemaker Christopher Tracy alongside partner Larry Perrine, the estate champions low-intervention, sustainable viticulture across its distinctive maritime terroir.
