Hailing from the maritime climate of Bridgehampton on Long Island's South Fork, the Channing Daughters Merlot Rosato is a beautiful testament to how well Merlot adapts to cool, ocean-breeze-swept terroirs. Inspired by the dry, savory rosés of Italy, this 'Rosato' is crafted with intentionality rather than as an afterthought. The grapes are grown on unique Bridgehampton silt loam soils, hand-harvested, and gently pressed. The winemaking team utilizes stainless steel fermentation to preserve the wine's bright, high-toned red fruit character and distinct saline minerality. This rosé captures the relaxed yet sophisticated spirit of the East End, offering a dry, textured, and aromatic profile that stands out from typical mass-produced blush wines.

Channing Daughters Winery blev grundlagt i 1982, da venturekapitalisten og billedhuggeren Walter Channing plantede sine første Chardonnay-stokke i Bridgehampton. Sidenhen har vinhuset udviklet sig til en af de mest vovede og nytænkende producenter på Long Islands East End. Ejendommens vinmarker dækker over 11 hektar i South Forks maritime klima, hvor vinstokkene trives i veldrænet siltet Bridgehampton-lerjord, velsignet med kølende havbriser fra Atlanterhavet og et mildt mikroklima skabt af Peconic Bay. Vingården ledes i dag af partner og vinmager Christopher Tracy sammen med partnerne Larry Perrine og Allison Dubin, og huset er desuden medstifter af Long Island Sustainable Winegrowing. Channing Daughters er berømmet for sit mangfoldige druesortiment, der tæller mere end to dusin sorter, samt en avantgardistisk tilgang i kælderen med spontangæring, udstrakt skindkontakt og field blends.
