The Mudd Vineyard, located on the North Fork of Long Island, is one of the region's most historic viticultural sites, originally planted by pioneering grape grower Vic Mudd in the 1970s. Channing Daughters sources Cabernet Sauvignon from these seasoned vines to craft a dry, savory Rosato that stands out for its texture and complexity. Influenced by the maritime climate of the East End, surrounded by the Peconic Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, the grapes develop a vibrant acidity and a distinct saline minerality. Winemaker Christopher Tracy employs low-intervention techniques, including wild yeast fermentation, to preserve the authentic voice of the vineyard, resulting in a rosé with notes of wild red berries, fresh herbs, and a structured, gastronomic finish.

Channing Daughters Winery blev grundlagt af Walter Channing, som plantede de første vinstokke i 1982 i Bridgehampton på Long Islands South Fork.
