Channing Daughters has earned a reputation as one of the most experimental and progressive estates on the East Coast, particularly for its pioneering work with Northern Italian varieties. Their Ribolla Gialla is a testament to this adventurous spirit, sourced from estate vineyards in Bridgehampton where the maritime climate and silt-loam soils mirror the coastal influences of Friuli. Traditionally crafted with varying degrees of skin contact, this wine showcases the grape's natural affinity for texture and complexity. The winemaking team employs ambient yeast fermentation and minimal intervention, allowing the saline sea breezes and unique terroir of the South Fork to express themselves fully in a structured, deeply aromatic profile.

Channing Daughters Winery blev grundlagt i 1982, da venturekapitalisten og billedhuggeren Walter Channing plantede sine første Chardonnay-stokke i Bridgehampton. Sidenhen har vinhuset udviklet sig til en af de mest vovede og nytænkende producenter på Long Islands East End. Ejendommens vinmarker dækker over 11 hektar i South Forks maritime klima, hvor vinstokkene trives i veldrænet siltet Bridgehampton-lerjord, velsignet med kølende havbriser fra Atlanterhavet og et mildt mikroklima skabt af Peconic Bay. Vingården ledes i dag af partner og vinmager Christopher Tracy sammen med partnerne Larry Perrine og Allison Dubin, og huset er desuden medstifter af Long Island Sustainable Winegrowing.
