Representing the northern gateway to the legendary Côte de Nuits, the Marsannay Rouge from Château de Marsannay is a classic expression of Pinot Noir grown on complex Middle Jurassic limestone and clay-marl soils. Historically, the wines of Marsannay were highly prized by the Dukes of Burgundy and the French royal court, though the region only officially secured its village AOC status in 1987. This red expression captures the cooler microclimate of the northern Côte, where grapes undergo traditional fermentation with gentle extraction before aging in French oak casks. The result is a wine that beautifully balances bright red fruit purity with a distinct mineral tension and rustic elegance characteristic of the appellation's unique climats.

Château de Marsannay ligger ved den nordlige port til Bourgognes berømte Côte de Nuits og er et anerkendt vinhus, der hyldes for sin dybe fortolkning af regionens mangeartede terroirs.
