The 'Clos du Château' is a signature white Burgundy from Château de Meursault, crafted from a historic 8-hectare monopole vineyard situated directly in front of the majestic château. Although classified as a Bourgogne Blanc, this wine benefits from a terroir of exceptional quality, featuring clay-limestone soils over a hard limestone bedrock that closely mirrors the prestigious village-level plots of Meursault. The grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed, and fermented in French oak barrels. The wine is then aged in the estate's legendary 12th-century double-vaulted cellars, resulting in a Chardonnay of remarkable elegance, balancing vibrant citrus and white flower aromas with a rich, buttery texture and a distinct mineral backbone.

Tracing its origins back to the 11th century when it was established by Robert I, Duke of Burgundy, Château de Meursault stands as one of the most iconic and historic estates in the Côte de Beaune. Owned by the Halley family since 2012, the property spans over 65 hectares of prime vineyards across legendary appellations ranging from Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault to Volnay, Pommard, and Corton. The estate practices precise, parcel-by-parcel viticulture, aging its creations within magnificent vaulted cellars that date from the 12th to the 16th centuries.
