✨ Technical Specifications
The Bourgogne Blanc 'Terroir d'Exception' from Château de Meursault is a masterfully crafted white Burgundy that punches far above its regional classification. Sourced from meticulously selected parcels situated on the limestone-rich slopes bordering the prestigious Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet appellations, this cuvée benefits from the same elite viticultural standards as the estate's Premier Crus. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed before undergoing fermentation and aging in French oak barrels, a portion of which is new. This wine beautifully reflects the historic legacy of the Côte de Beaune, where Cistercian monks spent centuries mapping out the subtle nuances of the clay-limestone soils, resulting in a white Burgundy of remarkable tension, elegance, and mineral depth.
🍾 About the Producer
Tracing its origins back to the 11th century when it was established by Robert I, Duke of Burgundy, Château de Meursault stands as one of the most iconic and historic estates in the Côte de Beaune. Owned by the Halley family since 2012, the property spans over 65 hectares of prime vineyards across legendary appellations ranging from Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault to Volnay, Pommard, and Corton. The estate practices precise, parcel-by-parcel viticulture, aging its creations within magnificent vaulted cellars that date from the 12th to the 16th centuries. Château de Meursault is celebrated worldwide for its opulent, mineral-laced Chardonnay expressions such as Clos du Château and Clos des Grands Charrons, alongside refined, structured Pinot Noirs from top premier crus like Volnay Clos des Chênes and Pommard Clos des Épenots.
