Crafted from some of the oldest surviving vineyards on earth, Chateau Tanunda's 100 Year Old Vines Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre is a profound tribute to the Barossa Valley's viticultural heritage. These 'Centenarian' vines, planted over a century ago, have survived phylloxera and decades of agricultural shifts, developing deep root systems that draw intense character from the region's ancient soils. The blend represents a classic Barossa take on the traditional Southern Rhône style. Shiraz provides a rich, structured backbone of dark plum and black pepper; Grenache injects vibrant raspberry sweetness and aromatic spice; while Mourvèdre anchors the blend with earthy, savory complexity and fine-grained tannins. Utilizing traditional basket pressing and open fermenters, this wine showcases the remarkable concentration, elegance, and balance that only vines of this venerable age can produce.
