The region's ancient soils and warm Mediterranean climate, tempered by cool evening breezes, allow Cabernet grapes to achieve optimal ripeness while retaining their structural integrity. Chateau Tanunda blev grundlagt i 1890 og står i dag som et ikonisk vartegn i det berømte Barossa Valley i South Australia samt en sand hjørnesten i regionens rige vinhistorie.
