Greenock is defined by its rolling hills, warm microclimate, and ancient, low-yielding red-clay and ironstone soils. This unique terroir yields a Shiraz of immense power, structure, and concentration. Historically, the area was settled by Prussian pioneers in the mid-19th century, who recognized the agricultural potential of these soils. Chateau Tanunda crafts this wine using traditional techniques, including fermentation in open fermenters and basket pressing, followed by aging in premium French oak barrels. The result is a wine that captures the dark, brooding, and savory soul of Greenock, marked by intense black fruit, dark chocolate, and complex mineral undertones.

Chateau Tanunda blev grundlagt i 1890 og står i dag som et ikonisk vartegn i det berømte Barossa Valley i South Australia samt en sand hjørnesten i regionens rige vinhistorie.
