The Pündericher Marienburg Riesling Beerenauslese from Clemens Busch is a monument to the patience and precision of biodynamic viticulture in the Mosel. The Marienburg vineyard itself is steeped in history, taking its name from a late 17th-century Franciscan convent that once stood on the ridge overlooking the steep, sun-drenched slopes. Here, Clemens and Rita Busch harness the unique microclimate of the Mosel River loop, where autumn mists rise to encourage the development of Botrytis cinerea (noble rot). To craft this rare elixir, grape pickers must perform meticulous, berry-by-berry selections in the vineyard, harvesting only those shriveled by noble rot. Fermented spontaneously with native yeasts and aged in traditional oak Fuder casks, this liquid gold captures the intense minerality of the slate soils, balanced by a breathtaking interplay of luscious sweetness and vibrant, electric acidity.

Situated in the picturesque village of Pünderich along the dramatic slopes of Germany's Middle Mosel, Weingut Clemens Busch has been led by Clemens and Rita Busch since taking over the historic family estate in the 1980s.
