Hailing from the dramatic, steep slopes of Pünderich in the Middle Mosel, Clemens Busch's 'Vom Roten Schiefer' (meaning 'from red slate') is a masterclass in soil-specific terroir. While the Mosel is famous for its blue and grey Devonian slate, a rare vein of iron-rich red slate runs through the Rothenpfad sector of the legendary Marienburg vineyard.
