Created as a collaboration between Compass Box founder John Glaser and Guillaume Drouin of the renowned Calvados producer Christian Drouin, this innovative blend marries Scotch malt whiskies (primarily from the Craigellachie and Balmenach distilleries, along with a proprietary Highland malt blend) with Christian Drouin Pays d'Auge Calvados. The result is a harmonious union where the crisp, baked-apple and pear notes of the Normandy cider brandy seamlessly integrate with the rich, malty, and spicy characteristics of the Scotch. This release challenged traditional spirit definitions and showcased the artistic potential of blending across spirits categories.
