In 2000, Compass Box debuted with 'Hedonism', a revolutionary blended grain Scotch whisky that challenged the industry's malt-centric conventions. In 2018, to celebrate the prominent role of women in the whisky world and honor the female icon on their signature bottle, they released 'The Muse'. This rare, limited-edition bottling is a masterclass in blending, marrying exceptionally mature grain whiskies from celebrated distilleries including Invergordon, North British, Port Dundas, and Girvan, alongside a mysterious, richly textured cask of unknown origin. Aged predominantly in first-fill bourbon barrels and rejuvenated American oak hogsheads, it represents the pinnacle of grain whisky artistry, offering a decadent profile of vanilla cream, honeyed tropical fruits, and delicate baking spices.
