First released in 2006, Flaming Heart was a groundbreaking expression from Compass Box that pioneered the combination of bold, maritime Islay peat smoke with the rich, sweet, and spicy character of heavy-toasted French oak casks. The 6th Edition, released in 2018, continues this rock-and-roll-inspired legacy. It masterfully weaves together heavily peated single malt from the Caol Ila distillery with elegant, fruit-forward Highland malts from Clynelish and Deanston, alongside Compass Box's signature Highland malt blend finished in custom-toasted French oak casks. The result is a dramatic, multi-layered Scotch whisky where sweet baking spices, rich vanilla, and smoldering peat fire perform in perfect, harmonious tension.
