Crafted as a whimsical and heartfelt response to the global cancellation of whisky festivals in 2020, Compass Box's 'This is Not a Festival Whisky' was designed to bring the vibrant, communal spirit of those events directly to enthusiasts at home. This limited-edition blended malt Scotch whisky captures the essence of celebration, blending bright, fruit-forward single malts with richer, waxier, and subtly spiced components. It stands as a testament to the resilience of the whisky community and Compass Box's signature blending artistry, offering a complex, aromatic, and deeply engaging sensory experience that unites whisky lovers from afar.
🍾 Om vinhuset / producenten
Compass Box blev grundlagt i 2000 af den visionære blender John Glaser og er et uafhængigt boutique-whiskymærke, der har sat sig for at gentænke den skotske blending-tradition. Virksomheden arbejder ud fra sit blending-studie i Richmond i London og har lagre i Skotland, hvorfra de går til skotsk whisky med samme kompromisløse tilgang som en passioneret vinmager. I stedet for at følge standardiserede industrielle opskrifter udvælger Compass Box førsteklasses malt- og grain-destillater fra hele Skotland. Disse modnes på skræddersyede fade af ristet, jomfrueligt fransk og amerikansk eg for at fremhæve helt specifikke aromatiske og strukturelle nuancer. Compass Box er desuden kendt for sin stædige kamp for fuld gennemsigtighed i whiskyverdenen og skaber udtryksfulde aftapninger, der altid er ufiltrerede og uden tilsat karamelfarve.
