Historically, Glaswegians favored bold, robust whiskies with distinct peat smoke and rich sherry cask influences. To recreate this classic style, Compass Box crafts this blend with a remarkably high single malt content. The blend brings together smoky Islay single malt, rich Highland single malt aged in first-fill Sherry casks, and a touch of Lowland grain whisky for sweetness and balance. This expression is finished in custom toasted French oak casks, adding a layer of baking spice complexity. It represents a modern renaissance of the blended Scotch art form, prioritizing flavor and transparency over industrial efficiency.
