Crafted as a tribute to the golden age of Scotch blending in the late 19th century, the Artist Blend is an imaginative blended Scotch whisky from the innovative house of Compass Box. Eschewing the modern industry trend of high-grain, low-malt blends, this expression features an exceptionally high proportion of single malt whiskies, predominantly sourced from celebrated Highlands distilleries, combined with premium Lowland single grain whisky. The spirit is matured in a combination of first-fill American oak barrels, refill Bourbon casks, and custom-toasted French oak casks. This meticulous wood management imparts a wonderfully creamy, fruit-forward character with notes of soft spice, vanilla, and baked apples, offering a sophisticated nod to Edinburgh's historic blending heritage.
