Amelia was launched in 1993 as Concha y Toro's flagship ultra-premium Chardonnay, named in honor of pioneering women who challenge boundaries. While originally born in the Casablanca Valley, its true destiny was realized when production shifted to the Quebrada Seca vineyard in the northern, semi-arid Limari Valley of Coquimbo. Here, just miles from the Pacific Ocean, the vines are cooled by the morning 'Camanchaca' fog and rooted in ancient, calcium carbonate-rich clay soils. This unique terroir imparts a distinctive flinty minerality and vibrant acidity to the wine. Fermented and aged in French oak barrels with carefully managed malolactic fermentation, Amelia Chardonnay strikes a masterful balance between rich, creamy texture and intense, saline-driven freshness.

Founded in 1883 by Don Melchor de Santiago Concha y Toro and his wife, Emiliana Subercaseaux, Viña Concha y Toro is Chile's most historic and globally recognized winery, headquartered in the picturesque commune of Pirque within the Maipo Valley. Under the stewardship of the Guilisasti family since the mid-20th century, the estate has expanded its reach across Chile's premier terroirs, from the coastal breezes of Casablanca to the warm, clay-rich soils of Peumo in the Cachapoal Valley. The winery is celebrated for its pioneering spirit and commitment to sustainability, producing world-class wines that showcase the diverse microclimates of Chile. Their portfolio is anchored by iconic expressions such as the critically acclaimed Carmín de Peumo Carmenere, the terroir-driven Terrunyo line, and the legendary, globally beloved Casillero del Diablo range.
