✨ Technical Specifications
Hailing from Chile's sun-drenched Central Valley, Concha y Toro's Frontera Chardonnay is a celebration of the country's extraordinary natural boundaries. The 'Frontera' name pays homage to the dramatic geography that isolates and protects Chile's vineyards—the towering Andes to the east, the vast Pacific to the west, the arid desert to the north, and ancient glaciers to the south. This unique geography creates a natural sanctuary for viticulture. Crafted to be fresh, vibrant, and highly approachable, this Chardonnay is fermented primarily in stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure, unadorned character of the grape. It captures the essence of the Central Valley's warm days and cool nights, delivering a bright, fruit-forward profile defined by notes of citrus, pineapple, and peach, backed by a refreshing acidity.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1883 by Don Melchor de Concha y Toro and his wife Emiliana Subercaseaux, Viña Concha y Toro is Chile's preeminent wine producer and a cornerstone of South American winemaking history. Headquartered in Pirque within the historic Maipo Valley, the estate originated with noble French cuttings sourced directly from Bordeaux, laying the groundwork for a portfolio that now spans Chile's finest valleys from Limarí to Peumo. Concha y Toro pairs cutting-edge viticultural science with meticulous stewardship, crafting wines that reflect the diverse microclimates and soils of the Central Valley, Aconcagua, and southern regions. The winery is universally celebrated for benchmark red varietals—most notably expressive Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère—exemplified in prestige cuvées such as Carmín de Peumo, the Terrunyo series, and the enduring Marques de Casa Concha label.
