Hailing from the cool-climate Casablanca Valley within Chile's broader Aconcagua region, Concha y Toro's Terrunyo Riesling Block 6 represents a dedicated quest to capture the purest expression of terroir. The 'Terrunyo' initiative—derived from the Spanish word for terroir—selects ultra-specific vineyard parcels that demonstrate exceptional character. Block 6 of the El Triángulo Vineyard is defined by its red clay and gravel soils, heavily influenced by the morning fogs and chilling breezes sweeping in from the nearby Pacific Ocean. This unique microclimate allows the Riesling grapes to ripen slowly, retaining their vibrant, electric acidity while developing complex aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, and a distinct mineral backbone. It stands as a testament to Chile's modern capability to produce world-class, cool-climate aromatic white wines.

Viña Concha y Toro blev grundlagt i 1883 af Don Melchor de Concha y Toro og hans hustru Emiliana Subercaseaux. Vinhuset er i dag Chiles mest fremtrædende producent og en absolut hjørnesten i sydamerikansk vinhistorie. Hovedsædet ligger i Pirque i den historiske Maipo Valley, og ejendommens fundament blev lagt med ædle franske vinstokke hentet direkte fra Bordeaux. Siden har porteføljen bredt sig til Chiles bedste dale, lige fra Limarí til Peumo. Concha y Toro forener banebrydende vinvidenskab med et kompromisløst fokus på bæredygtighed, og husets vine afspejler på smukkeste vis de alsidige mikroklimaer og jordbunde i Central Valley, Aconcagua og de sydlige regioner.
