CVNE (Compaa Vcola del Norte de Espaa), a historic powerhouse founded in Rioja in 1879, brings its centuries-old winemaking pedigree to the high-altitude, sun-drenched plains of Castilla y Len with this vibrant Verdejo. Sourced from vineyards characterized by stony, gravel-rich soils and a harsh continental climate of hot days and cool nights, this wine captures the quintessential energy of the region. The grape itself, Verdejo, has thrived in Castilla y Len since the 11th century, likely introduced during the reign of King Alfonso VI. Fermented entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its intense primary aromatics, this wine showcases classic notes of wild herbs, fennel, crisp green apple, and bright citrus, backed by a signature mineral finish.

Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE) blev grundlagt i 1879 af brødrene Raimundo og Eusebio Real de Asúa og er et af Riojas mest prestigefyldte og historiske vinhuse, med base i det ikoniske Barrio de la Estación i Haro. Vingården drives den dag i dag af grundlæggernes efterkommere, som forener klassiske vinfremstillingstraditioner med nytænkende innovation på tværs af husets forskellige ejendomme og kældre. CVNE er berømt for at skabe verdensklasse, lagringsdygtige vine med fokus på elegance, struktur og balance, hvor Tempranillo og andre lokale Rioja-druer spiller hovedrollen.
