Named with d'Arenberg's signature wit, 'The Eight Iron' is a clever play on the classic golf club, the ironstone-rich soils of McLaren Vale, and the wine's uniquely low alcohol content. Crafted to offer the generous, ripe flavor profile of a traditional South Australian Shiraz but with a lighter, more refreshing frame, this wine is made using traditional techniques including gentle basket pressing. The ironstone soils of the McLaren Vale vineyards impart a distinctive mineral complexity, balancing the vibrant, juicy dark fruit characters of plum and mulberry with subtle spice, earth, and soft tannins.

Founded in 1912 by Joseph Osborn, d'Arenberg has grown into one of McLaren Vale's most iconic and storied family-owned estates in South Australia.
