Named after the historic vineyard block planted in the late 19th century, 'The High Trellis' pays homage to a pioneering viticultural practice in McLaren Vale. At a time when most vines in the region were grown as low bush vines, these Cabernet Sauvignon vines were among the first to be trained on an elevated trellis system to maximize sun exposure and air circulation. This classic McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted using traditional methods, including gentle crushing, fermentation in open-topped fermenters, and basket pressing. It showcases the region's signature rich, dark fruit profile, structured tannins, and a subtle herbaceous complexity, reflecting the unique maritime-influenced terroir of the estate's ancient soils.
