The Stump Jump GSM is a playful tribute to a landmark South Australian invention: the stump-jump plough. Invented in the late 19th century, this clever device allowed ploughshares to automatically ride over stubborn mallee stumps and claypans, saving farmers backbreaking labor and unlocking the agricultural potential of the region. Adding to its charm, the wine's label is designed as an optician's eye chart; winery folklore tongue-in-cheek suggests that if you can read the bottom line at arm's length, you are sober enough to enjoy another glass. Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, this wine is crafted to showcase the classic, fruit-driven synergy of Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre. It is fermented in a mix of open and closed fermenters to capture the bright, juicy red berry character of Grenache, the structure of Shiraz, and the savory, rustic spice of Mourvèdre.

Established in 1912 by Joseph Osborn in the heart of McLaren Vale, South Australia, d'Arenberg is a historic, family-owned winery currently guided by fourth-generation winemaker Chester Osborn. Renowned for its traditional, hands-on approach, the estate utilizes very old basket presses and practices foot-treading for all its red wines, maintaining a steadfast commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture. The winery is celebrated for its highly characterful, complex wines with distinctive, quirky names, most notably its flagship 'The Dead Arm' Shiraz, alongside exceptional Grenache and Rhône-style blends. Today, the estate seamlessly blends its rich heritage with avant-garde innovation, epitomized by the iconic d'Arenberg Cube visitor center rising above the ancient vines.
