Domaine des Grands Chemins is a distinguished estate-bottled Crozes-Hermitage crafted by the historic house of Delas Frères. The wine's name, translating to 'Domain of the Great Paths,' pays homage to the ancient Roman routes that once intersected these historic plains, carrying soldiers, traders, and the very first vine cuttings through the Rhône Valley. The fruit is sourced from the stony, free-draining alluvial terraces of 'Les Chassis,' where rounded pudding stones (galets roulés) store the daytime heat and radiate it back to the Syrah vines at night. This unique terroir yields a wine of remarkable depth and structure. Following traditional fermentation in open concrete vats, the wine is aged in a combination of oak barrels and tanks, marrying succulent dark fruit with refined, savory complexity.
