Named after the steep, granite-rich terraces of the Saint-Joseph appellation, 'Les Challeys' Blanc is a beautiful expression of Northern Rhône white winemaking. Historically, the wines of this region were highly prized, famously referred to as 'Vin de Mauves' and celebrated by historical figures like Victor Hugo in Les Misérables. Delas crafts this cuvée to highlight the delicate balance between freshness and texture. The grapes are sourced from steep, south-facing granite slopes, which impart a distinct mineral backbone. Vinification takes place under temperature-controlled conditions, with a portion of the blend aged on its fine lees to develop a round, creamy mouthfeel while preserving the vibrant, floral aromatics characteristic of the region's native white varietals.
