✨ Technical Specifications
Delas Frères' Hermitage Rouge 'Marquis de la Tourette' is a majestic tribute to the legendary hill of Hermitage, steeped in history dating back to the 13th-century crusader knight Gaspard de Stérimberg. Named in honor of an old noble family of the region, this cuvée is meticulously crafted from Syrah grapes sourced from iconic climats on the granite slopes, including Les Bessards, L'Ermite, and Le Sabot. The diverse terroirs contribute structure, elegance, and aromatic complexity. Vinified traditionally and aged in French oak barrels, this wine embodies the classical power and refinement of Northern Rhône Syrah, offering deep dark fruit, cracked black pepper, leather, and smoky mineral notes.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1835 by Charles Audibert and Philippe Delas, Maison Delas Frères is an iconic Rhône Valley estate headquartered in Tain-l'Hermitage. Now part of the Champagne Louis Roederer family of estates, the house underwent a major quality renaissance through modern cellar innovations and meticulous vineyard stewardship across both the Northern and Southern Rhône. Delas manages prestigious parcels across heralded appellations including Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Renowned for its precision winemaking, the estate crafts deeply expressive, terroir-driven wines, from powerful, mineral-tinged Syrahs like Les Bessards and La Landonne to aromatic, textural Viogniers like Clos Boucher.
