Delas Frères' Côte-Rôtie 'Seigneur de Maugiron' is a masterful expression of one of the Northern Rhône's most legendary appellations. The cuvée pays homage to the historic Sire de Maugiron, a prominent figure in local Renaissance history. This wine is crafted from a meticulous blend of grapes sourced from both the Côte Brune and the Côte Blonde. The iron-rich, mica-schist soils of the Côte Brune impart structure, power, and deep dark-fruit character, while the lighter, limestone-rich soils of the Côte Blonde contribute elegance, silkiness, and floral aromatics. Traditionally vinified with temperature control and aged in oak barrels, this wine beautifully balances the power and finesse that define great Côte-Rôtie, offering complex notes of black fruits, licorice, and smoky tapenade.
