While Delas is famous for its steep, granite-bound Hermitage and Côte-Rôtie plots, this expression showcases the grape's adaptability to the warmer Mediterranean climate. Grown on a mix of clay, limestone, and schist soils, the grapes benefit from long, sunny days tempered by cooling sea breezes. Maison Delas Frères blev grundlagt i 1835 af Charles Audibert og Philippe Delas og er et ikonisk vinhus i Rhône-dalen med hovedsæde i Tain-l'Hermitage. Huset er i dag en del af Champagne Louis Roederers familie af vingårde og har gennemgået en markant kvalitetsmæssig renæssance takket være moderne kældermetoder og et kompromisløst fokus på vinmarksarbejdet i både det nordlige og sydlige Rhône. Delas råder over prestigefyldte parceller i berømte appellationer som Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu og Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
