Delas Frères, celebrated for their legendary Northern Rhône masterpieces, brings their centuries of expertise with the finicky Viognier grape to the sun-drenched terroirs of the Pays d'Oc. Viognier is a grape of dramatic history; once on the brink of extinction in the mid-20th century with only a few hectares remaining in Condrieu, it has since undergone a spectacular global renaissance. For this cuvée, Delas selects grapes from vineyards that benefit from the Mediterranean warmth tempered by cooling sea breezes, allowing the fruit to develop its signature opulent aromatics while maintaining a refreshing acidity. Vinified entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve the pure, unadorned essence of the fruit, this wine captures the grape's classic stone fruit and floral character without any oak influence, offering an approachable yet sophisticated expression of a historic varietal.

Maison Delas Frères blev grundlagt i 1835 af Charles Audibert og Philippe Delas og er et ikonisk vinhus i Rhône-dalen med hovedsæde i Tain-l'Hermitage. Huset er i dag en del af Champagne Louis Roederers familie af vingårde og har gennemgået en markant kvalitetsmæssig renæssance takket være moderne kældermetoder og et kompromisløst fokus på vinmarksarbejdet i både det nordlige og sydlige Rhône. Delas råder over prestigefyldte parceller i berømte appellationer som Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu og Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Ejendommen er anerkendt for sin præcise vinifikation og skaber dybt udtryksfulde, terroir-drevne vine – lige fra kraftfulde, mineralske Syrah-vine som Les Bessards og La Landonne til aromatiske og teksturrige Viognier-vine som Clos Boucher.
