La Tâche is a legendary Grand Cru monopole in Vosne-Romanée, celebrated for its extraordinary power, multi-layered complexity, and ethereal perfume. The 2018 growing season in Burgundy was marked by a warm, dry summer, yielding grapes of exceptional concentration and perfect phenolic ripeness. Harvested by hand and fermented with a high proportion of whole clusters, this Pinot Noir was aged in 100% new French oak barrels. The terroir of La Tâche, with its steep slope and diverse limestone-clay soils, imparts a unique combination of structural intensity and mineral precision. Historically, the vineyard was saved from fragmentation during the French Revolution, eventually consolidated fully under the domaine's sole ownership in 1932. The 2018 vintage captures this majestic heritage, offering a deep, dark fruit profile interwoven with notes of dried rose petals, exotic spices, and forest floor, backed by incredibly refined, velvety tannins.
