Domaine des Comtes Lafon blev grundlagt i 1869 af Boch-familien og tog for alvor form under grev Jules Lafon efter hans ægteskab med Marie Boch i 1894. I dag står ejendommen som et uomtvisteligt pejlemærke i Meursault. I midten af 1980'erne overtog fjerde generations vinmager Dominique Lafon familiens historiske parceller fra forpagterne og gik forrest med en omstilling til certificeret økologisk vindyrkning i 1995 efterfulgt af fuld biodynamik i 1998. I dag ledes den 16,3 hektar store Côte de Beaune-ejendom af femte generation, Léa og Pierre Lafon. Domænet råder over exceptionelle parceller i berømte Premier Cru-marker som Genevrières, Perrières og Charmes, foruden monopolmarken Clos de la Barre, førsteklasses rødvinsterror i Volnay Santenots-du-Milieu og en legendarisk parcel i Grand Cru Le Montrachet, erhvervet i 1919. Vinene gæres med det naturlige gær og modnes med en moderat andel nye franske egetræsfade i domænets dybe, kølige kældre.
