Rather than a single cuvée, this legendary and highly limited release is a curated treasure chest containing Lalou Bize-Leroy's most extraordinary Grand Cru and Premier Cru masterpieces from a single vintage. Lalou Bize-Leroy, a towering and uncompromising figure in wine history, transitioned the estate entirely to biodynamic farming in 1988, guided by a deep spiritual connection to the vines. The assortment typically showcases the profound diversity of Burgundy's finest terroirs, featuring legendary parcels such as Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Clos de la Roche, and Musigny. Due to Leroy's famously severe pruning methods, yields are infinitesimally small, resulting in wines of unparalleled concentration, haunting complexity, and a crystalline expression of their respective climats.

Domaine Leroy blev grundlagt i 1988, da Lalou Bize-Leroy – en af Bourgognes mest ikoniske skikkelser og tidligere meddirektør for Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – opkøbte de historiske vinmarker fra Domaine Charles Noëllat i Vosne-Romanée. Med base i hjertet af Côte de Nuits indførte vinhuset omgående kompromisløs biodynamisk dyrkning på tværs af alle parceller og satte dermed en helt ny standard for ekstremt lave udbytter og minutiøs pleje af vinstokkene. Drevet af en konsekvent non-interventionsfilosofi benytter domænet helklasegæring og aftapper vinene uden klaring eller filtrering for at indfange hvert enkelt climats rene og uforfalskede væsen.
