An intriguing anomaly in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Ponsot's 'Bulles Luisantes' is a rare sparkling gem born from the estate's historic Clos des Monts Luisants vineyard in Morey-Saint-Denis. While Burgundy is synonymous with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the Ponsot family has long championed the Aligoté grape, famously maintaining ancient Aligoté vines high up the slope. 'Bulles Luisantes' (translating to 'shining bubbles') is produced using the traditional method, capturing the vibrant, high-acid energy of Aligoté with the texturing influence of old vines and Ponsot's minimalist, non-interventionist cellar philosophy. It represents a whimsical yet deeply serious expression of Burgundian heritage, offering a sparkling alternative that honors the unique terroir of Monts Luisants.

Domaine Ponsot blev grundlagt i 1872 af William Ponsot og er en legendarisk ejendom med base i Morey-Saint-Denis i hjertet af Côte de Nuits i Bourgogne. Domænet er kendt for sin uafhængighed og pionerånd; det var således blandt de allerførste i regionen, der tappede vinene på eget domæne i 1930'erne og gik forrest inden for klonselektion.
