Domaine Ponsot's 'Centenaire' is a legendary commemorative bottling of their iconic Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, created to celebrate the rich history and winemaking heritage of this historic Morey-Saint-Denis estate. Sourced from some of the oldest Pinot Noir vines in the Côte de Nuits—with parcels dating back to 1905—this rare Grand Cru expression represents the absolute pinnacle of the domaine's traditionalist philosophy. In the cellar, the wine is crafted with minimal intervention, eschewing new oak in favor of very old, neutral barrels to preserve the pure, unadulterated voice of the terroir. The result is a Pinot Noir of monumental depth and complexity, characterized by notes of dark wild berries, forest floor, leather, and exotic spices, supported by a powerful yet velvety structure that allows it to age gracefully for decades.

Domaine Ponsot blev grundlagt i 1872 af William Ponsot og er en legendarisk ejendom med base i Morey-Saint-Denis i hjertet af Côte de Nuits i Bourgogne. Domænet er kendt for sin uafhængighed og pionerånd; det var således blandt de allerførste i regionen, der tappede vinene på eget domæne i 1930'erne og gik forrest inden for klonselektion.
