Domaine Ponsot's Chambolle-Musigny 'Cuvée des Cigales' is a beautifully expressive village-level red Burgundy that captures the delicate, ethereal spirit of the Chambolle appellation. True to the estate's whimsical tradition of naming its village-level cuvées after local fauna (such as the 'Cuvée des Grives' or 'Cuvée du Bourdon'), 'Cuvée des Cigales' translates to the 'Cuvée of the Cicadas,' evoking the warm, sun-drenched summer days of the Côte de Nuits. Crafted with Ponsot's signature hands-off philosophy—utilizing very old, neutral oak barrels and avoiding sulfur additions during vinification—this wine showcases the pure, unadulterated terroir of Chambolle. It is celebrated for its silky texture, vibrant red fruit aromatics, and elegant floral undertones, representing a masterclass in traditional, low-intervention Burgundian winemaking.

Domaine Ponsot blev grundlagt i 1872 af William Ponsot og er en legendarisk ejendom med base i Morey-Saint-Denis i hjertet af Côte de Nuits i Bourgogne.
