✨ Technical Specifications

The Clos Jebsal vineyard is a tiny, steep, south-facing monopole of Domaine Zind Humbrecht, located in Turckheim. Its unique terroir is defined by deep grey marl and gypsum-rich soils, which retain moisture exceptionally well. This microclimate makes Clos Jebsal highly susceptible to noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), allowing the estate to produce legendary late-harvest wines almost every year. The Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives from this site is a masterclass in balance, where intense concentration, honeyed sweetness, and smoky complexity are perfectly counterbalanced by a vibrant, mineral-driven acidity born from the gypsum soils.

🍾 About the Producer

Domaine Zind Humbrecht was established in 1959 through the merger of two historic Alsatian winemaking families whose viticultural heritage dates back to 1620. Located in Turckheim in the heart of Alsace, the estate gained international renown under the stewardship of Léonard Humbrecht and subsequently his son Olivier Humbrecht, France's first Master of Wine. A pioneer in organic and biodynamic viticulture, the domaine strictly crafts terroir-driven white wines with minimal intervention from legendary Grand Cru and lieu-dit sites such as Rangen de Thann, Clos Windsbuhl, and Hengst. They are celebrated globally for their extraordinarily concentrated, mineral-rich expressions of Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer, ranging from impeccably balanced dry wines to opulent Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles.
