The Heimbourg vineyard, situated on a steep, southwest-facing hillside in Turckheim, is renowned for its complex Oligocene limestone soils. This unique terroir, combined with the warm microclimate, allows Pinot Gris to achieve optimal ripeness while retaining a vibrant, structural acidity. Under the meticulous biodynamic stewardship of Domaine Zind Humbrecht, the grapes for this Vendanges Tardives (late harvest) bottling are left on the vine to develop noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). Domaine Zind Humbrecht was established in 1959 through the merger of two historic Alsatian winemaking families whose viticultural heritage dates back to 1620. Located in Turckheim in the heart of Alsace, the estate gained international renown under the stewardship of Léonard Humbrecht and subsequently his son Olivier Humbrecht, France's first Master of Wine. A pioneer in organic and biodynamic viticulture, the domaine strictly crafts terroir-driven white wines with minimal intervention from legendary Grand Cru and lieu-dit sites such as Rangen de Thann, Clos Windsbuhl, and Hengst.
