Domaine Zind Humbrecht's Turckheim Riesling is a masterful village-level expression that captures the unique terroir of the historic medieval town of Turckheim. Sourced primarily from the gravelly, alluvial soils of the valley floor—where the Fecht river deposited round stones that absorb and radiate the sun's heat—this wine benefits from a warm, early-ripening microclimate. Cultivated under strict biodynamic principles, the grapes undergo a slow, natural fermentation using indigenous yeasts in ancient, large oak foudres. This patient winemaking process coaxes out a beautifully textured, dry Riesling that balances vibrant, stony minerality with ripe citrus and floral aromas, reflecting the rich winemaking heritage of Alsace.

Domaine Zind Humbrecht blev grundlagt i 1959 ved en sammenlægning af to traditionsrige alsaciske vinfamilier, hvis vinbønder-rødder strækker sig helt tilbage til 1620. Ejendommen har hjemme i Turckheim i hjertet af Alsace og opnåede international stjernestatus under ledelse af Léonard Humbrecht og sidenhen sønnen Olivier Humbrecht, der blev Frankrigs første Master of Wine. Vingården er en sand pioner inden for økologisk og biodynamisk vindyrkning og skaber kompromisløst terroirprægede hvidvine med minimal indgriben fra legendariske Grand Cru- og lieu-dit-marker som Rangen de Thann, Clos Windsbuhl og Hengst.
