Sourced from the prestigious Bentrock Vineyard, situated at the western edge of the cold, wind-swept Sta. Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara County, this Pinot Noir is a masterclass in cool-climate viticulture. The vineyard's unique orientation along the transverse mountain range exposes the vines to intense Pacific fog and marine breezes, slowing the ripening process and preserving a vibrant, natural acidity. Planted on complex soils of diatomaceous earth, clay, and broken shale, the vines yield small, concentrated berries. Dominion Tantara employs traditional, low-intervention winemaking techniques, utilizing gentle handling and aging in select French oak barrels to craft a wine that beautifully balances intense red fruit, savory earthiness, and a distinct mineral spine characteristic of this extreme coastal site.

Dominion Tantara blev grundlagt i 1997 i det kølige Santa Barbara County i Californien og er en anerkendt artisanal producent, der især udmærker sig med sine terroirdrevne vine på Pinot Noir og Chardonnay.
