The story of Garys' Vineyard is one of California's great wine legends, born from the lifelong friendship and visionary ambition of two iconic growers, Gary Pisoni and Gary Franscioni. Planted in 1997 in the wind-swept Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County, this legendary site is celebrated for its dramatic maritime influence. Chilly winds and dense morning fog rolling in from Monterey Bay slow the ripening process, allowing the Pinot Noir grapes to develop remarkably thick skins, deep color, and intense flavor concentration while retaining vibrant natural acidity. Dominion Tantara handles this prized fruit with utmost reverence, employing traditional French winemaking techniques including gentle fermentation and aging in fine French oak barrels. The resulting wine is a powerful yet sophisticated expression of the terroir, renowned for its dark cherry fruit, exotic spices, earthy undertones, and velvety structure.

Dominion Tantara blev grundlagt i 1997 i det kølige Santa Barbara County i Californien og er en anerkendt artisanal producent, der især udmærker sig med sine terroirdrevne vine på Pinot Noir og Chardonnay. Vingården henter sine druer fra berømte marker på Central Coast, herunder Bentrock, Dierberg og La Encantada, og arbejder ud fra en filosofi om minimal indgriben med inspiration fra Bourgogne for at lade hver enkelt årgangs renhed træde tydeligt frem.
