The Gwendolyn Pinot Noir is a premier, deeply personal cuvée from Dominion Tantara, crafted to showcase the pinnacle of Santa Barbara County's cool-climate terroir. Named in honor of the founder's family heritage, this bottling represents a meticulous selection of the finest barrels from prestigious, wind-swept vineyards in the Santa Maria Valley and Sta. Rita Hills. Benefiting from the region's unique transverse mountain ranges, which draw chilly Pacific fog and maritime breezes directly into the vines, the grapes undergo a long, slow ripening period. In the cellar, traditional French Burgundian techniques are strictly observed, including gentle open-top fermentations and aging in select French oak barrels. This produces a Pinot Noir of remarkable sophistication, seamlessly blending vibrant red berry fruit with complex forest floor, spice, and elegant structural tannins.
