Facing south-southeast on an incredibly steep slope, its red slate soils absorb the intense heat of the sun, insulated by massive cliffs above. This unique microclimate yields Riesling of extraordinary ripeness and concentration. Historically, the vineyard's name refers to the high-ranking church prelates who claimed its prized wines for their own cellars. Weingut Dr. Loosen stands as one of the preeminent global ambassadors of Germany's Mittelmosel.
